About the role
Help shape songs from demos through production by developing tracks, selecting sounds, and supporting recording sessions. You’ll work alongside producers on original music and soundtracks, and learn how a rough idea becomes a finished, release-ready record.
What you’ll do
- Build beats and instrumental tracks from demos and song ideas
- Choose and design sounds: drums, synths, samples, and textures
- Program drums, basslines, and arrangements in a DAW
- Support recording sessions and help edit and comp vocals
- Prepare stems and session files for mixing
- Organize sample libraries, presets, and project files
What we’re looking for
- Proficiency in at least one DAW (FL Studio, Ableton Live, Logic Pro, or Pro Tools)
- Understanding of song structure, arrangement, and basic music theory
- A good ear for sound selection and mix balance
- The ability to collaborate with artists and take feedback
- Organized, well-labeled sessions
- Current students, recent graduates, and self-taught applicants are all welcome — no professional credits required
Nice to have
- Mixing experience
- Keys or another instrument
- Range across genres such as hip-hop, R&B, pop, gospel, or electronic
- Basic knowledge of sample clearance
What you’ll gain
- Production credits on released music
- Real session experience with artists
- Mentorship from working producers
Where you’ll work
Las Vegas, NV, in person or remote. Remote interns need a computer with a DAW and quality headphones or studio monitors.
