About the role
Contribute instrumental performances to rehearsals, recording sessions, and collaborative ensemble projects. You’ll play on original music, soundtracks, and live sessions, and learn what it takes to be the player producers call back.
What you’ll do
- Record instrumental parts for original songs, demos, and soundtrack cues
- Rehearse and perform with small ensembles and session bands
- Learn parts quickly from charts, lead sheets, or by ear
- Work with arrangers and producers to develop parts that serve the song
- Track to a click and match feel, tone, and dynamics with other players
- Play in filmed and live performances
What we’re looking for
- Strong skills on at least one instrument (keys, guitar, bass, drums, strings, horns, or another)
- Solid timing and comfort playing to a click or backing track
- Ensemble experience: school band, orchestra, worship team, gigging band, or jazz combo
- The ability to learn parts quickly and take direction
- A well-maintained instrument and reliable attendance
- Current students, recent graduates, and self-taught applicants are all welcome — no professional credits required
Nice to have
- Reading standard notation or chord charts (including the Nashville Number System)
- Playing more than one instrument or across several genres
- Home recording experience
What you’ll gain
- Session experience and credits on recorded projects
- Ensemble playing with other emerging musicians
- Professional recordings for your portfolio
Where you’ll work
Las Vegas, NV, in person or remote. Remote interns record parts at home, so you’ll need your instrument, an audio interface or mic, and a DAW to send clean takes.
How to apply
Attach your resume and include links to 2–3 clips of you playing and list the instruments you play in the message box on the application form.
