About the role
Perform lead vocals, interpret songs, rehearse material, and participate in studio recording sessions. You’ll learn how a vocal goes from demo to finished record, and what producers listen for when you’re in the booth.
What you’ll do
- Record lead vocals on original songs, demos, and soundtrack material
- Learn new songs quickly and bring your own phrasing and emotion to them
- Work with producers and vocal coaches on tone, pitch, timing, and delivery
- Build studio technique: mic control, punch-ins, doubles, and ad-libs
- Rehearse material for live sessions, filmed performances, and showcases
- Test melodies and lyrics in real time with songwriters
What we’re looking for
- Vocal training or consistent performance experience (lessons, choir, band, theatre, or gigs)
- Good pitch, rhythm, and breath control
- The ability to learn melodies and lyrics quickly
- Comfort taking direction and doing multiple takes
- A professional attitude in sessions: on time, prepared, and warmed up
- Current students, recent graduates, and self-taught applicants are all welcome — no professional credits required
Nice to have
- Studio recording experience
- Harmony or background vocal experience
- Basic music theory or sight-singing
- Range across genres such as R&B, pop, gospel, hip-hop, or musical theatre
What you’ll gain
- Studio time and professionally produced recordings of your voice
- Coaching from producers and vocal professionals
- Credit on released tracks you perform on
Where you’ll work
Las Vegas, NV, in person or remote. Remote interns record from home, so you’ll need a quiet space, a quality USB or XLR microphone, and closed-back headphones.
How to apply
Attach your resume and include links to 2–3 vocal recordings that show your range (studio or phone recordings are fine) in the message box on the application form.
