About the role
Combine acting, singing, and ensemble performance in musical theatre projects and rehearsals. You’ll help bring new and existing material to life, from the first music rehearsal through staged readings, workshops, and recorded performances.
What you’ll do
- Rehearse and perform as a lead, featured, or ensemble performer
- Learn music, choreography, and blocking for readings, workshops, and showcases
- Help develop new musicals by performing material as it’s written and revised
- Record vocals and filmed performances for cast demos and promotional content
- Work with music directors on harmonies, blend, and telling the story through song
- Track and apply notes from directors, music directors, and choreographers
What we’re looking for
- Training or experience in both acting and singing (school, college, community theatre, or private lessons)
- Two contrasting 16- or 32-bar song cuts and a short monologue
- Solid pitch and rhythm, and the ability to learn music by ear or from sheet music
- Basic movement or dance ability and willingness to learn choreography
- A strong ensemble mindset, stamina, and rehearsal discipline
- Current students, recent graduates, and self-taught applicants are all welcome — no professional credits required
Nice to have
- Dance training in jazz, tap, ballet, or contemporary
- Sight-reading skills
- Experience workshopping new or original work
What you’ll gain
- Performance experience on new and developing musicals
- Coaching from music directors and choreographers
- Recordings and footage for your audition materials
Where you’ll work
Las Vegas, NV, in person or remote. Remote interns rehearse over video and record parts at home, so you’ll need a quiet space, headphones, and a phone or camera for recording.
How to apply
Attach your resume and include links to videos of two contrasting song cuts and a monologue in the message box on the application form.
