About the role
Support podcast concepts, episode research, outlines, recording preparation, editing, and production coordination. You’ll work on shows from first idea to published episode and learn what makes a podcast worth subscribing to.
What you’ll do
- Help develop show concepts, formats, and episode ideas
- Research topics and guests, and prepare episode outlines and interview questions
- Prep and run recording sessions in person and remotely (Riverside, Zoom, or similar)
- Edit episodes: cut mistakes, tighten pacing, and add music and sound
- Write show notes, episode titles, and descriptions
- Coordinate guest bookings, recording schedules, and release calendars
What we’re looking for
- A genuine love of podcasts (you listen to several and can explain why they work)
- Strong research and writing skills
- Basic audio editing in Audacity, Adobe Audition, Descript, GarageBand, or similar
- Organization and follow-through on schedules
- Clear, friendly communication with guests and teammates
- Current students, recent graduates, and self-taught applicants are all welcome — no professional credits required
Nice to have
- Experience producing or hosting your own podcast
- Familiarity with podcast hosting platforms and analytics
- Editing short clips for social media
- Interest in scripted or narrative audio
What you’ll gain
- Producer credits on published episodes
- Experience across the full podcast workflow
- Portfolio samples: edited episodes, outlines, and show notes
Where you’ll work
Las Vegas, NV, in person or remote. Remote interns need a computer, headphones, and reliable internet.
How to apply
Attach your resume and include a link to audio you’ve edited or an episode outline you’ve written, and name a podcast you love and why in the message box on the application form.
