About the role
Bring characters to life in scripted podcasts, audio dramas, and other voice-driven productions. With no camera to lean on, every choice lives in your voice. You’ll learn to build characters, play scenes with other actors, and hold a listener’s attention from start to finish.
What you’ll do
- Voice lead and supporting roles in audio dramas and scripted podcasts
- Join table reads and recording sessions with directors and other actors
- Develop distinct character voices and keep them consistent across episodes
- Take live direction and adjust performance, pacing, and energy on the spot
- Record pickups and retakes that match the original session
- Give scratch reads on scripts in development so writers can hear their pages
What we’re looking for
- Acting or voice training through classes, theatre, workshops, or self-study
- Clear diction, good mic technique, and expressive delivery
- Strong cold-reading skills
- Vocal range across ages, energies, or character types
- Reliable attendance at scheduled sessions
- Current students, recent graduates, and self-taught applicants are all welcome — no professional credits required
Nice to have
- Accent or dialect work, performed accurately and respectfully
- Basic audio editing in Audacity, Adobe Audition, Reaper, or similar
- Audio drama, animation, or game voice experience
What you’ll gain
- Credited roles in released audio productions
- Clips for your voice demo
- Direction from experienced audio directors
Where you’ll work
Las Vegas, NV, in person or remote. Remote interns record from home, so you’ll need a quiet, sound-treated space, a quality USB or XLR microphone, and headphones.
How to apply
Attach your resume and include a link to your voice demo or 2–3 short recorded reads that show your range in the message box on the application form.
